Welcome to SewHauteCouture.com!
My name is Trish Lawrence. I'm an aspiring fashion designer, although I doubt I'll ever be anywhere near as talented as Daniel or Kara or Chloe. Santino is an entirely different story. :) But I started sewhautecouture.com to attempt to connect, if very tenuously, the Project Runway phenomenon with those of us who may never be designers in real life (let alone a designer on the show), but who yearn to apply the same design principles and skills to our own creations. And hey, we might just end up going farther than we ever thought possible.
I'm really interested in hearing from other "closet" designers who want to sew haute couture, aka, sew highly polished and fine clothing, for themselves or for the buying public. I want to know what you are curious about. I want to make this web site a collection of resources, tricks, and tips, and a place that people can use to further their designing dreams. Let's sew haute couture!
